The panorama of this region has been shaped by large glaciers. The hamlet of Chiappera is a good example of the Piedmontese landscape, with the inimitable quartz profile of the Rocca Provenzale and Castello mountains as well as the impressive Stroppia waterfalls, the highest in Italy.
There are several hikes suitable for all levels: easy walks on the flat for families to discover the high peaks.

Departure: Chiappera to the foot of the Stroppia waterfalls, Rocca Castello-Provenzale hiking loop via the Greguri pass, and ascent of the waterfalls to Lake Niera
