Day 2: Caves, lakes and alpine meadows

Departing from Saretto di Acceglio, the trail reveals dolomite outcrops of Alpine Briançonnais.

Guess the underground phenomena by observing the strong changes in the level of altitude lakes, the spectacular resurgences of limestone waters. And downstream from these, discover a precipitation of travertine, a limestone rock built by living organisms.

Duration: 6 hours maximum with the possibility of shortening the route by limiting yourself to the travertine caves and the sources of Maira (1 hour 30 minutes) or by stopping at Lake Visaira (1 hour from the sources of Maira).
