Powerful and mysterious, often considered one of the most beautiful in Europe, the Ubaye has its source at the Col du Longet, at an altitude of 2 m, very close to Mont Viso on the Italian border, and runs over close to 655 km, before flowing into the lake of Serre-Ponçon, whose waters flow to the Durance.

Unlike the Verdon, the Ubaye is a completely natural river: there is no dam on its course. Thus, from spring to autumn it is possible to navigate every day. The Ubaye changes appearance during the seasons: its flow is subject to snowmelt and rains. Each flood can also change its course. Lovers of living water must adapt to its whims!
